General Introduction:

A RC drill rod (also as dual-wall drill pipes) comprises an outer and inner pipe with a sealing system (usually O Rings) to keep the drill string pressurized. Air is blown between the walls of the inner and outer pipes down to the hammer while the air forces the cuttings back up through the centre of the inner pipe. As RC drill rods are subjected to high wear in the drilling process Acedrills use only the high quality hardened alloy steel for the both rods and tool joints.
